The barn is getting its white corner trim now. The carriage doors should be delivered and installed next week.
The roof is on, and the paddock has been graded and raked, prior to seeding. We will hydro-seed this whole field, and it should be grass covered before winter. Hopefully.
There is still some work to do, picking out all the rock that was raked to the edges. It will be about as much fun as it sounds.
An example of putting the chickens to work. On the left is the area we fenced them.... they completely cleared it of weeds, scratched and tilled it up for us. Free labor! On the right is what it looked like prior to chicken tilling. We are not quite ready to turn them into that area...there are still growing plants, covered for now by the white row covers.
On the days we move the mobile chicken coop (Meals on Wheels)
We turn the flock completely loose to wander. This lovely lady posed for me by the new fence area.
