the call of birds,
a distant knock,
This winter silence breaking
I think that might be a pileated woodpecker we are hearing.
And, we are officially in production on the farm. Woo hoo! One of the hens laid an egg today. Actually, when i got the camera for a photo, i found two other eggs, so this is actually her third egg. But, since I discovered them today, we are marking today as the beginning.
Weather today:a balmy 23 and snowing.
Wildlife: didnt see any, just heard lots!
exercise- well, today, so far anyway, I only shoveled snow for upper body work.
